Terms of Service
By using Elyra ("the Bot", "the Service") in any Discord server, you ("the User") agree to comply with and be legally bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must immediately discontinue use of the Bot.
These Terms apply to all users of the Bot, including server administrators who have added it to their Discord server and members who interact with it.
Elyra is a multi-purpose Discord bot that provides the following features within Discord servers:
- An XP and levelling system that tracks activity through messages and voice chat participation
- A real-time word-based duelling system where users wager virtual XP
- Daily reward claims with streak-based bonus systems
- Server-configurable role rewards tied to level milestones
- A virtual XP shop for cosmetic titles and server-defined items
- Administrative tools for server managers to configure and customise the above
All features operate exclusively within the Discord platform and are governed by Discord's own Terms of Service in addition to these terms.
You must meet the minimum age requirement set by Discord (13 years old in most regions, or older where local law requires) to use this Service. By using Elyra, you represent that you meet this requirement.
We do not knowingly collect data from or provide services to users under the applicable minimum age. If you believe a user under the minimum age is using the Service, please contact us via our support server.
When using Elyra, you agree not to:
- Attempt to exploit, abuse, or manipulate the XP or duelling system through bots, scripts, macros, or any automated means
- Use self-bots or user accounts running automated software to interact with Elyra
- Coordinate with others to artificially inflate XP, rankings, or duel outcomes
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or interfere with the Bot's operation
- Use the Bot in any manner that violates Discord's Terms of Service or Community Guidelines
- Harass, threaten, or abuse other users through the Bot's features
- Attempt to access, alter, or delete data belonging to other users or servers
All XP, levels, titles, and other progression data within Elyra are virtual and have no real-world monetary value. They cannot be exchanged, transferred outside the Bot's systems, sold, or redeemed for any real currency or goods.
We reserve the right to adjust, reset, or remove any user's XP, levels, or virtual items at any time, for any reason, including but not limited to abuse prevention, technical corrections, or changes to the Service.
Server administrators may also reset or modify your data within their server using administrative commands. We are not responsible for actions taken by server administrators.
If you add Elyra to a Discord server you manage, you ("the Administrator") take on additional responsibilities:
- You are responsible for ensuring your server members are informed that Elyra is active and collecting activity data
- You agree to use administrative commands (XP modification, resets, shop management) fairly and in good faith
- You acknowledge that misuse of administrative powers — such as manipulating leaderboards or targeting specific members unfairly — is a violation of these Terms
- You are responsible for ensuring that role rewards and shop items you configure comply with your server's own rules and Discord's guidelines
We strive to keep Elyra available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, upgrades, infrastructure issues, or circumstances beyond our control.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature of the Service at any time without notice. We may also introduce new features, change existing ones, or alter the way XP and progression work as the Bot evolves.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We make no warranties regarding:
- The accuracy, reliability, or completeness of the word validation system used in duels
- The uninterrupted availability of the Service
- The permanent retention of your XP, level, or progression data
- The compatibility of the Service with all Discord server configurations
Use of the Service is entirely at your own risk.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, including but not limited to loss of virtual items, XP, or progression data.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall not exceed zero, as the Service is provided free of charge.
We reserve the right to terminate or restrict your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice, particularly in cases of abuse, exploitation, or violation of these Terms.
Server administrators may remove Elyra from their server at any time. Upon removal, server-specific data may be retained for a limited period before deletion, in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
You may request deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us through our support server.
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and announce significant changes in our support server.
Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
